Autumn and winter short term rentals

With the autumn and winter months swiftly approaching, Marbella appeals to a different type of rental client. The summer months are ideal for family vacations, enjoying outdoor dining late into the hot nights and plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy during the days, but as the seasons change so do the types of clients that visit Marbella.  As a cosmopolitan city attracting clients worldwide, Malaga airport also offers great deals during the off season, cheaper direct flights reaching the Costa del Sol within a couple of hours, an ideal mini-vacation before the run up to Christmas at home.

September is an ideal month to visit Marbella, when the golfing season is at its best, with over 50 golf courses to choose from along the coast, the wonderful climate allows for early starts and pleasant temperatures, reaching into the low 30ºs at midday, making for enjoyable golfing days out on a regular basis. Many golf courses host tournaments from September through to December.

From September to Christmas, Marbella and the Malaga region offer many events as well as Spanish Bank Holidays including a Piano Festival, the San Pedro de Alcántara Feria, 4 days hiking in the surrounding Marbella areas, Halloween, Cirque du Soleil in Malaga and the run up to Christmas with artisan markets, many traditional Spanish events and bank holidays in the month of December. Renting a property in the area is a great way to take advantage of the events and enjoy Marbella off season.

There is a wide variety of properties available during this period as many clients tend to book the same property year after year in the high season, the winter months offer a larger selection to choose from; from Marina apartments based in the heart of Puerto Banus with all amenities and facilities within walking distance and no need for a car, to luxury mansions set further afield offering total privacy and magnificent costal views within a secure community.

Beachfront complexes on the Golden Mile

All gated and secure communities with direct beach access, many with gymnasiums and sports facilities as well as mature tropical gardens, hotel style swimming pools and some with their own restaurants.

Puerto Banus and the Marina

Ideal for a “city break” as mentioned above, within walking distance to all services, apartments in Puerto Banus range from the traditional style Marina blocks with fully renovated properties, to charming apartments in the heart of the shopping center with underground parking facilities, to high luxury frontline beach complexes with sea views, some with private swimming pools all within a 5 star exclusive communities.

Nueva Andalucia

The renowned “Golf Valley” surrounded predominantly by luxury villas opening onto one of the 5 main golf courses, with magnificent views surrounded by nature and offering a tranquil and relaxing setting whilst being only a short drive to all amenities and facilities.

Sierra Blanca

Marbella’s most exclusive mountainside gated community comprising of exclusive villas with high security, magnificent views down to the sea as well as being less than 5 minutes’ drive to Marbella town center and all services.

Typically, properties are more negotiable in price during these periods and depending on the length of the rental, there are great deals to be had.

Renting a property in the off season months is also a great way to experience the true Marbella lifestyle, when considering purchasing a property, renting one first is a great way to get to know the areas and surroundings to be able to concentrate on specific locations when ready to buy.

As an owner, this is a great time to take advantage of either staying in the property yourself or renting out on a midterm basis, as many clients from Northern Europe prefer the milder Marbella climate through these months, enabling an additional income on the property when otherwise unoccupied. Some owners also use this period to upgrade and modify the property itself preparing it for the next high season.
